1) Pick up the long, almost Straight Shaft. Screw the Shaft Locking Nut on the Shaft almost completely. (fig.1)

2) Screw the Shaft into the
center hole of the base and
secure with the Shaft Locking Nut.  Do this by turning the nut down (clockwise) to meet the base and then turning the
Locking Lever until the Locking Nut won't move. (fig. 2)
